"American Idiot" Taking Center Stage

Green Day on Broadway??? That's the word on the streets. Green Day's rock/punk opera "American Idiot" is headed to Berkeley Repertory Theatre starting Sept. 4. Many fans speculate that the next stop is Broadway. The band has come a long way from their early music, where one of the deeper themes was how much they liked watching TV sitting on their mom's couches. "American Idiot" is full of the feelings many of us have shared post-9/11. I know some feel that Green Day is a sell out to the punk way of being, but as for me, I'm looking into buying tickets. It's the show to see this season!
